1 baguette, ends trimmed and halved lengthwise
½ stick unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
1/4 C high quality olive oil
1/4 C Parmesan, shredded
1 T garlic, minced
1 T minced parsley or chives or a combination
salt
red pepper flakes
In a small bowl, combine butter through minced herbs, mixing thoroughly; add salt and red pepper flakes to taste. Line a baking sheet with foil; preheat broiler to high. Spread butter mixture on cut sides of bread and arrange on foil. Broil 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted. Cut bread into slices and serve.
